Family of Lucky Luciano

Hello, World Wide Web, your occasional genealogists, and all who inhabit it.

I have something that I would like to say, in the slimmest hope that someone, like me, who is looking for "our" family will come across this.

Over the past three years or so, I've dedicated a lot of my time to researching my family genealogy.

While I am a subscribed member to Ancestry.com, and have found a lot of people there, I have also found people elsewhere.

My family, as most of my internet friends know, is the Lucania Family, from Lercara Friddi, Palermo, Sicily; a.k.a., Charles "Lucky" Luciano's (biological) family.

In the slimmest hope that someone who is related might find this, I am hoping that they will contact me, via my eMail address (listed below).

For a heads up, currently, I am researching the surnames, Dolcimascolo, Salemi, Lucania, Cafarella, and Iovino.

If anyone out there, who is researching their (this) family, has any information, or would like to see if I can help out, please contact me., with any information or questions.
I would greatly appreciate it.

To contact me, please send me an eMail to: sc_lucania_luciano@ymail.com

  2. Last night, I was posting a story on my own blog about my uncle who happened to meet your great-great grandpa in Naples when my uncle was in the navy. In doing research, I found your blog. Intriguing, to say the least. If you don't mind, please e-mail me at majorespy@yahoo.com to establish a connection. Once you do that, I will send the blog address. What I have posted will interest you. Would also love your feedback. Thanks!

  14. My grandfather was born Charles luciano, later changed to Lucian. He use to say Lucky was a distant cousin to literally everyone in the family and everyone took him for his word but there was never any proof. I know Lucky was born a lucania, not a luciano, so if anyone has any info on a real blood tie in to Luciano's I would love any information. My grandpa was 26 years younger than lucky but they look eeirely alike, which is the only reason I have to believe it's true other than taking him for his word. He died when I was 7 so I never had a chance to grill him on it. Autumnluciano@gmail.com

  15. Hello
My name is Sophie and my maternal family is native of Lercara Friddi. I have always heard that we are remote cousins of Salvatore "Lucky Luciano" Lucania. I believe that I have just found the family connection: My great-great-great-grandfather (Antonino Marsala) was to be the brother of Concetta Marsala, herself the mother of Rosalia Caffarella. So my great-grandfather and your grandfather, if I'm right, were second-rate cousins.

If you have more information about our common ancestors, I'm interested.
You can contact me via my e-mail sogal5@hotmail.com

  19. Hello,

I know nothing of my family tree, but know that my mothers fathers name was Robert Cole and I believe his mother was Olivia Cole. I believe my great grandmother had a maiden name of Luciano or was somehow connected to the Luciano family. That is what I have been told by some family members, but am not sure.

If you have any information on Robert or Olivia Cole and think there may be a connection, please let me know.

    Thank you so much!
